The world is cruel; I will shoot to the point. The world is
crazy, confused and messed up. The idea that a woman is a second class citizen;
how dare you say that…how dare you let your lips hit your palate repeatedly as
your heart comfortably lets you speak out words of misfortune. What kind of
God do you follow who allows you to speak about the gender that brought you
into this world? .Did your mother really spend her 9 months plus extra years to
nurture you into a pessimist you have become? .I don’t think so….what if that
was your sister or aunt or mother being segregated tortured, forced into sex slavery…would
you be okay with that?. Would you actually sip a cup of tea and keep watching
the NBA game as she cries, begs and prays for equality, for the chance to sit
on the high table and be appreciated for how wonderful, sacrificing, nurturing
and tender she really is.
Just because she is physically weaker than you, does not
mean you take advantage of her. Just because she is quiet, chooses crying over
violence when airing out grievances does not give you the right to curse her
out, hit her as if she is a punching bag and spit out a
lingual you would never utter to your grandmother.
Women are beautiful, understanding, forgiving, patient, hardworking,
have laughs and smiles so benevolent God had to spend an extra day to make
them. Why don’t we give them enough credit?, why don’t we shower them with
positive and gorgeous messages instead of making their lives harder than life.
Why don’t we carry them in the air and kiss them as their faces light against
the moon. Why don’t we take a second to give them a chance or even promote them
in fields they are good at, instead of looking at them as sex toys, a hole to
sink manhood at your convenience?
It is so sad that the world is concentrating on stupid music, that talks
about sniffing cocaine and getting wasted on the Empire State building, rather
than the under privileged teenagers and young women who are locked in rooms in
the Philippines. These rooms are opened every 15 minutes to let in a new “customer”
who pays 50 cents for a session. A

Philippines depicts just the iceberg to what women are going through. Rape
by their fathers by the age of 12, being sold into sex slavery by the age of
14, being forced to perform sexual acts in areas and times when they are not
ready for it, owning 8*4 cubicle rooms that are for sleeping and performing
sexual acts to foreigners whenever it is convenient for them; the latter
superseding at whatever cost. Where is the G6,G8 and G20 when all this is
happening under their noses, most disturbing facts include church being involved
in cutting sex education in schools and the government cutting on condom supply
in the country (Come on, seriously!!!).
I am surprised that the world is not shedding tears as the
treatment received by the feminine gender keeps hitting rock bottom, it will
meet the igneous rocks at the core of the earth. According to Forbes, there are
only 15 jobs where women earn more than men. These include occupation
therapists, dieticians, porn industry (yes I said porn) and nutritionists.
Now some of you hard headed Homo sapiens are going to argue with me and say otherwise. That a
woman deserved to be ruled and controlled by men, that it has been like that for hundreds of years
and who am I to speak otherwise. I will give you a simple answer, if your
mother is still alive or aunty or any strong female authoritative figure in
your life. I want you to go to them and speak about female submissiveness and justify
the torture you plan to impact on her gender mates.
You see the world has gone through a lot cruelty. There were
times when slave trade was the right thing, moments when a black man was
nothing but a commodity to be purchased and dealt with as the master wished.
There were times when tribal wars in African lands were the only way to solve
problems. Times when having the most number of colonies meant your country was
so powerful and undisputed. What happened to these times…they ended, time moved
and the human mind out grew the barbaric nature of living for the good of
mankind, another way to term this is civilization. Why can’t we start taking a
step into saving women for the sake of our daughters, nieces and sisters we are
to have? .Let us create a good present environment for the future that the past
has never dreamed of.
There is something we can do to heal the wounds us men, have
created. I will just say a few:-

Chivalry- it is something easy to do if you
think of it. It just requires you to be nice to the woman God blessed to be in
your presence. Tell her she looks nice, tell her how thankful you are to having
her in your life, check on her occasionally and surprise her. Again, the hard
headed men will say why waste my time doing that. One thing you forget is that
they cook for you, some iron for you, clean after you when you have hit the
bottom of the totem pole, she supports you when your drunk personally comes
home shouting and cursing your heart out, so cut her some slack!.

Be there for her- she could be your sister,
daughter or girlfriend. Support her. One good turn deserves another, if you
help her when her heart is filled with sorrow, she will remember you when it is
on cloud 9 (talking from experience).

Appreciate, listen and cherish her- Do that to
her and you will enjoy the same treatment being mirrored back to you.
To me, women are the strongest creation God ever made. That
ability to smile, laugh through sorrow and pain is priceless, the ability to
forgive a million times and have their hearts heal after being torn to pieces,
a talent and the capability to stay sane and positive in the world so negative
about them, a sixth sense Goliath himself could only dream about.
